“I have known and worked with Jim since 1985. From 1994 to 1997 Jim reported directly to me as Regional Manager for Brinks in Michigan. Jim was an extremely dedicated and knowledgeable leader, highly respected by his employees for his supportive and dedicated management style. I was so impressed with Jim’s abilities that I added 7 Northern Ohio branches to Jim’s territory.
In 2003 I hired Jim at Loomis Fargo as Regional Manager for the Hudson Valley for Loomis Fargo. He did an outstanding job turning a troubled group of operations recently acquired into profitable, high quality service providers. Jim’s leadership skills with front line employees are exceptional which is an important asset in all service businesses. His honest, ethical approach with customers and employees is highly effective.” — Jim Burnham, Corporate VP, The Brink’s Company, March 7, 2009
“I worked with Jim at Brink’s. He was assigned to the General Manager position for the Great Lakes Region. I was a Branch Manager in Grand Rapids within Jim’s new region. I had been working at the Grand Rapids Branch 2 years prior to Jim’s arrival. This branch had failed to secure a presence in the Grand Rapids Market. Jim was brought into the region because he was known for turning around problematic areas. The region had been losing money, had small market share, inadequate fleet and facilities and managers and front-line associates were not trained.
Under Jim’s leadership the Great Lake Region and Grand Rapids branch became profitable and a benchmark within Brink’s. Through Jim’s knowledge of the cash-in-transit industry he was able to convey his vision of building a long-term successful operation. Through Jim’s leadership, the Grand Rapids Branch gained significant market share without cutting corners on safety and security and improved service levels while increasing profits. We were then able to relocate into a new facility and purchase new equipment. I strongly recommend Jim. He is a strong leader and an expert in understanding the inner workings of the transportation and logistics industry” — Randy Karel, Branch Manager, Brink’s Incorporated, June 26, 2009
